Hands down, Dinner on the Pacific Plate is my favorite event in Point Reyes! DOPP is the annual major fundraiser for the Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA). It features pre-dinner hikes, walks, and talks with naturalists, ranchers, and more. An afternoon reception brings together the bounty of the peninsula with oysters, cheese, appetizers, mead and more. The delicious dinner made with local ingredients is held outdoors in a tent under the stars. You'll mingle at family-style tables with park service staff, ranchers, naturalists, nature enthusiasts, and other supporters of the Seashore.
The event features keynote speakers and a live and online auction.
"Funds from Dinner on the Pacific Plate support habitat and trail restoration, wildlife and endangered species protection, volunteer programs, environmental education programs for people of all ages, and scholarships that allow over 3,000 children to experience Point Reyes National Seashore"
Find out more about the event and signup for an email alert when the date is announced and tickets go on sale. It sells out every year.
