City Nature Challenge 2020: San Francisco Bay Area
Cities around the world will be competing to see who can make the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people in the 2020 City Nature Challenge. Point Reyes is part of the San Francisco Bay Area City Nature Challenge zone.
Document the amazing and unique biodiversity of Point Reyes and the Bay Area, creating an incredible dataset that can be used for science, conservation, and management. This year we’re joining 250 other cities around the world in documenting the species that exist in and around urban areas, participating in a friendly competition to see who can make the most observations, find the most species, and get the most people involved!

Upload your observations to share with the iNaturalist community.
Learn more as your finds get identified, and help others by identifying their observations April 28-May 3.
See how your city is doing by checking the leaderboard: citynaturechalleng.org/leaderboard. Results will be announced May 4.
