Marin County Parks: Botany at Bull Point

Botany at Bull Point

With most of the county showing signs of drought, the moist, coastal climate of Point Reyes makes this one of the few places in Marin to enjoy a diverse array of wildflowers during the summer. We’ll take advantage of habitats ranging from freshwater marsh to coastal dunes, which support an assortment of unique plants and flowers this time of year. While there is little elevation change, we’ll be off-trail on uneven terrain for much of the walk, so full-length pants and sturdy shoes are recommended. This walk is offered in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore.

Remember to bring a lunch and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service animals) are allowed.

Air Quality Index (AQI) that exceeds 150 on AirNow.gov, or other extreme weather may cancel events. Check the calendar or call (415) 473-6086 after 8 am on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message if canceled.
