Volunteer Event
MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a Day of Service and is is a great way for families, students, service groups, and neighbors to join together to take care of our fragile marine environment and show community support for our shared natural resources. With the boom of marine mammals entering our park and waters this season, it's time to ensure our beaches are squeaky clean! Volunteers of every age are welcome to join! If you are interested please email to register your group. Beach cleanup starts at 12:30 pm, please meet Rangers by the North Beach Restrooms.
Beach clean up supplies will be provided but volunteers are recommended to bring their own layers, work gloves, water and food.
Everybody that joins a beach cleanup is required to sign a Volunteer Agreement Form, which will be provided upon arrival; minors must have a legal gaurdian present to fill out their agreement form and supervise them throughout the event.
