The Feb 26 meeting was postponed for one week due to rain.
2/25/23
Dear Trackers--
Due to a solid looking prediction for rain tomorrow morning, we have decided to postpone for a week:
Marin Tracking Club--Sunday morning March 5
gather at Toby's as usual, 8:30am
This is the first time in over 15 years we've had to do this, Very sorry for any inconvenience and hope to see you next week. The tentative plan will be to walk out to the end of the Limantour Sandspit, to check out what I described in my recent essay, and, with some luck, get some great shorebird tracking on the mudflats.
The Marin Tracking Club (MTC) is a free morning of community tracking. MTC meets on the last Sunday of every month. The meeting site and field locations will be decided and announced a few days ahead of each meeting. (Although we usually meet on the porch of Toby’s Feed Store in Point Reyes Station at 8:30 AM.)
It is a community of experienced trackers, newcomers, children, and nature lovers of all sorts. We emphasize the social aspect of tracking—sharing knowledge and awareness with others in the adventure of tracking. I watch in wonder each time we meet at how joyful and powerful it is to join our minds in the common purpose of connecting with nature.
Founded in 2006, the Tracking Club explores a variety of West Marin locations and works on a wide variety of tracking skills in a group nature wander format.
Email notices are sent out a few days before each meeting.
No advance registration is required—just show up!
