Every year a multitude of birds move through the outer areas of the county while migrating to their winter destinations. In late summer many of them are already on the move pausing here to refuel before continuing their journey south. We'll look for birds along the lagoon, foraging with the tide, and out on the open water. Total miles: 3. There is virtually no elevation change but we will be walking in sand. This walk is offered in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Be sure to check the calendar two hours before the event to confirm the status. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.
Registration is required.
