Tune in from wherever you are (anywhere in the world) on Sunday, September 15 for one hour of birding apart but together to kick off Point Blue’s 46th Annual Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon. We’ll gather via Zoom and stream our kick-off to Facebook Live to invite even more community to join.

This special kick-off event is for the newbie to the seasoned birder. Join from anywhere in the world to learn about Point Blue’s Bird-A-Thon, share your bird sightings, share your passion for birds and conservation, and raise some kick-off funds for this community bird and wildlife celebration!
The Virtual Vultures kick-off team/event is hosted by experienced birder and Point Blue biologist turned educator turned communicator Lishka Arata. She will share some basics about birding and bird-a-thon, help you ID birds you are hearing and seeing, and facilitate a fun-filled kick-off gathering.
We’ll be joined by members of Young Friends of Point Blue from various locations to share bird identification tips, natural history facts, and conservation connections for species detected during our shared birding hour.
