Spring is a great time to explore the lush riparian woods here where we’ll look for warblers and other songbirds, wildflowers in bloom, and evidence of tule elk. We’ll make our way to a marshland tapestry along the Limantour Estuary and then lunch beside the beach. Total miles: 4.8 miles. Elevation change: 200'. This walk is offered in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.

Location:Point Reyes National Seashore

Directions:Meet at the Muddy Hollow parking area. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Hwy 1. Go 500 feet, turn left onto Bear Valley Rd go 0.5 miles, turn left onto Limantour Rd 5.9 miles. At the bottom of the hill turn right toward Muddy Hollow (rather than left to the Clem Miller Center) and follow to parking area.
