Corn on the Cob
8 pieces of corn
Shuck the corn and remove all the silk. Put the corn in a large pot (break in half if necessary) and cover with water. Bring the water to a boil and then turn it off and cover. Remove the corn from the water with tongs just before serving. Pass around a stick of butter to roll it in, and salt and pepper.
IBring out your favorite corn holders. My mother gave me a beautiful set of bakelite holders that I use for special occasions.
