Curious about how to go birding? Do you have questions about what beginning birders should know? Here's your chance to have them answered! Join David Wimpfheimer, professional naturalist, guide, biologist, and birding expert who has studied seabirds and shorebirds in Alaska, raptors in Egypt, and a variety of birds across California, for the third installment of Bay Nature’s Zoom “Ask a Naturalist” series—where attendees ask their nature questions during a virtual, hour-long office hour session with expert naturalists. Come with your birding-related questions, or just stop by and listen. David will give a brief, 10-minute talk on birding basics before we begin with audience questions. Free for Bay Nature members, $5 for non-members.
If you have questions you’d like to send in ahead of time, please send them, along with any related photos, to lia@baynature.org. For example:
How do I start birding, and what are things every beginning birder should know?
Where are some good places to go birding in the Bay Area?
Where can I find other people to go birding with?
What are some common birds that are easy to see and find near me?
